STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (SSC), New Delhi, conducts a Combined Matric Level Preliminary Examination for selecting candidates for the Main examination, for the following posts:
Grade 'C' Stenographers
Grade 'D' Stenographers
Lower Division Clerks (LDCs)
All the posts above carries All India Service Liability (AISL) i.e Candidate
on selection, could be asked to serve anywhere in the country. Orthopedically
Handicapped (OH) and Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates are eligible for all
categories of posts viz. Stenographers Grade'C' , Stenographers 'D' and LDCs.
Hearing Handicapped (HH) Candidates are eligible for the posts of LDC only, and
not Stenographers Grade 'C' and Stenographers Grade 'D', hence HH candidates are
not required for the posts of Stenographer 'Grade C' and Stenographer 'Grade D'.
Vacancies of Stenographers Grade 'D' and LDCs are grouped as under:
(a) Group 'X'- For Ministeries/Deparhnents of Central Govt. located mostly in Delhi
(b) Group 'Y'- For Offices/Deparhnents of Central Government inc1uding attached Subordinate Offices located in States and Union Terotories all over the country.
