(i) Permanent Commission: A Permanent Commission means a career in the Army till
you retire. For a Permanent Commission you have to join the National Defence
Academy (NDA) or the Indian Military Academy (IMA).
(ii) Short Service Commission: Short Service Commission gives you the option of
joining the Indian Army and serving it as a Commissioned Officer for 5 years.
